About Sherry
Sherry is not just a candidate; she's a committed member of our community who understands the needs and values of the people she aims to represent. With over 20 years of career experience and a proven track record as a community and civic leader, Sherry brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep-rooted dedication to District 2.
A proud resident of Kenton County since 2007, Sherry resides in Independence along with her husband Todd (a lifelong Kenton Countian). A native of Pike County, Sherry is an eighth-generation Kentuckian. Her parents taught her to work hard, care about her neighbors and get involved to make a difference.
Sherry's extensive experience supporting top leaders in the financial services industry has prepared her to campaign for the position of county commissioner. She has developed expertise in managing budgets and sharpened her skills in problem-solving, communication, and organization—qualities essential for effective leadership as a County Commissioner.
Currently, Sherry is the Vice Chair of the Kenton County Republican Party Executive Committee, re-elected for a second term in March. She is the State Treasurer for the Kentucky Federation of Republican Women and previously served as President of the Kenton County Republican Women’s Club from 2020-2023.
Her leadership extends beyond politics; Sherry currently serves on the Kenton County Police Merit Board. She is consistently supporting events and fundraisers for multiple nonprofit organizations that assist the most vulnerable in our communities. Her volunteer work supporting Veterans earned her commission of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels in 2011.
Sherry finds strength and grounding in her faith worshiping at St. Cecilia Catholic Church. In her leisure time, she cherishes being with her family, friends and two beagles.
